National HSCP Office – Request for HSCP Engagement regarding MOC for Adults Accessing Talking Therapies

“As you may be aware ,HSE Community Operations – Mental Health has initiated a national service improvement project to develop of a Model of Care (MOC) for adults accessing talking therapies while attending specialist mental health services (briefing attached).

In order to ensure completion of this project to the highest possible standard, the Steering Committee established a multi-disciplinary Working Group who developed three interim reports which summarize the work to date (attached). These include :

  1. Appraisal of evidence for the effectiveness of talking therapies
  2. Position paper for a collaborative layered care approach to delivery of talking therapies
  3. Operational guidelines for talking therapies delivered by General Adult CMHTs

As the three interim reports are now completed, the Steering Committee and Project Team plan to engage with key stakeholders for feedback. As part of the engagement process, the project team would like to meet with Health and Social Care Professionals (HSCP).We plan to meet with the chair/nominated person of each of the HSCP discipline groups on the 23rd January 2020 from 10:30hrs – 13:00hrs in the Green Meeting, Dr Steevens Hospital, Dublin.

We would appreciate it if you could RSVP to Anne.Callanancahill@hse.ie (Project Manager) by Friday 10th January 2020  with confirmation of attendances along with attendees name and contact details”
